Question: Since having my second baby my hair seems to be in a very poor condition - split ends and generally in a mess!! Please help. Answer: Once a week use a deep conditioning treatment on your hair to replenish vital moisture. Cover hair with conditioner, wrap in a towel, sit back and relax for 10 minutes to allow conditioner to penetrate into the hair shaft. After washing your hair, blot it with a towel, don't rub or wring your hair when it is wet because this is when it is at its weakest and most likely to break. Wrap the towel around your hair and leave for a few minutes to absorb the excess water. Regular trims keep split ends down and keep hair looking fuller. Question: Help I would love my dry and frizzy hair to be shiny and straight? Answer: This can be easily resolved in a few minutes using a straightening cream. Rub serum between your palms and smooth over small sections of dry hair at the root. Brush each section with a flat paddle brush wrapping one at a time around a volumising brush. On completion blast with a hairdryer for 10 seconds and unroll. Question: Why is My hair is so greasy? What can I do to improve this on going problem? Answer: Apply a frequent-use shampoo gently to the scalp. A good brushing can loosen the dulling dirt and debris that could otherwise cling to hair even after shampooing. Apply conditioner to the mid and ends rather than the roots. Watch what you eat as well. Fatty and oily foods can contribute to the scalp and greasy skin. Question: I've heard that brushing your hair can make it fall out. Is that true? Answer: A good brushing can loosen the dulling dirt and debris that could otherwise cling to hair even after shampooing. It also stimulates that scalp's oil glands, which can help make hair easier to work with. It is doubtful, however, that the act of brushing can make your hair fall out from the roots. Brushing too vigorously and/over brushing can cause split ends and breakage. |
